Paper and Remittance Processing Support (PRPS) II Project
TDG provides the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) support services for operations and maintenance, application development and testing support for the Paper and Remittance Processing Support (PRPS) II Project.
The PRPS System is comprised of 2 paper processing subsystems; ISRP and SCRIPS. The ISRP System provides support to five Submission Processing Center (SPC) sites and one remote site in terms of hardware and software maintenance, software development, support services and training. The Enterprise System Testing (EST) System is located at the New Carrollton Federal Building (NCFB) in Lanham, MD and the Production Development Sites (PDS) are located at Fairfax, VA and Lanham, MD. The PDS is used for programming and testing of software before release to the SPCs. Paper checks received from the taxpayers are input and processed on ISRP utilizing the Network Document Processor (NDP) 600 Transport.
SCRIPS provides for hardware, Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and custom software, maintenance, software development, support services and training. SCRIPS further serves as an imaging system that automatically scans and archives tax returns, Information Returns Program (IRP) documents, and Forms 940/941for Employer’s Annual and Quarterly filings. The SCRIPS capability is located at the Austin, Ogden, Kansas City and Cincinnati Submission Processing Centers (SPCs). Additionally, the Enterprise System Testing (EST) System is located at the New Carrolton Federal Building (NCFB) with the servers located at the Martinsburg Computing Center (MCC), WV. The Production Development Site (PDS) is located at the Fairfax, VA and Lanham, MD facilities.
